Bolivia is officially known as Plurinational State of Bolivia. Is a landlock country located in
western-capital South America. It is bordered to the north and east by Brazil, to the southeast by Paraguay,
to the south by Argentina, to the southwest by Chile, and to the northwest by Peru.

One-third of the country is within the Andean mountain range. With 1,098,581 km2 of area, Bolivia is the fifth largest
country in South America, after Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Colombia, the 27th largest in the world.
Bolivia has the highest salt flats, lake, administrative capital city, golf course, Irish pub, road, and cable car in the world.

Bolivia is a member of the Andean Community (CAN) with Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The CAN agreement has significantly reduced most internal trade barriers between these countries.

Along with Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, Bolivia is also an associate member of the Common Market of the South group . The full members include Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Uruguay.

Tourism

Darius Morgan Martin, born in Romania, grew up in France and came to Bolivia in the 1950 s . In 1958 he decided to show this beautiful destination to the world, opening the first incoming tour operator in Bolivia, Crillon Tours .

With 1 .48 million international tourists visiting Bolivia in 2019 , the South American country experienced a bumpy but significant growth in the volume of inbound tourism in the past decade . That year, Bolivia’s total inbound tourism expenditure amounted to 964 million USD
